Best Home Buys in Seminole County Florida
Seminole County is located in the Greater Orlando Florida area and boosts some of the premiere neighbors in Central Florida.
One of my favorite neighborhoods is Alaqua which is a gated, golf community in Longwood, Florida. All homes are custom built and most are on 1+ acre. Alaqua Country Club is located within the gates and has a challenging course designed by Gary Player. Their restaurant, Harvard’s at Alaqua, is open to the public. Reservations are required so that security can be advised at the gate.ls
Most of the homes are in the $1million plus range, but there are some bargains to be found. There are currently 13 homes offered for sale on MLS ranging from $700,000 to $2,799,999. One of the best deals is located at 3059 Totika Cove. This beautiful home has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, an in ground heated pool, and is situated on a 1 acre tree filled lot. Priced at $700,000 this s the lowest priced home in Alaqua.
Adjacent to Alaqua is another premiere community, Alaqua Lakes and The Legacy at Alaqua Lakes Country Club. The golf course was designed by Tom Fazio and is one of the most challenging courses n the area.
Many homes in Alaqua Lakes have wonderful golf course and/or water views. There are currently 29 homes offered for sale on MLS ranging from $779,000 to $2,500,000. One of the best deals is located at 3347 Oakmont Terrace. This beautiful home has 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, an in ground heated pool and spa, and is situated on a 1/3 acre with views of the golf course. Priced at $779,000 this s the lowest priced home in Alaqua Lakes.
Just down the street from Alaqua Lakes in Lake Mary, FL is the Heathrow/Heathrow Woods Community. Heathrow is a gated, golf course community north of Orlando in Lake Mary, Seminole County. It is comprised of townhomes, semi-custom homes, and custom homes. There are currently 97 single family homes offered for sale on MLS ranging from $270,000 to $4,500,000.
There are many exceptional deals in Heathrow, but the one that really stands out is located at 1350 Bristol Park Place. Listed at $699,000, it is the lowest priced home per sq. ft. in Heathrow. This custom home has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths and is 5855 square feet. With a price of $119.39/SF this home is an absolute steal. There is no way that it could be replicated at this price per square foot. If you’re a Zillow fan you’ll be interested to know that Zillow Zestimate is $941,500 for this house. The house is bank owned and is being sold “as is” and does need some work.
